Rather than narrating, this work transposes into dance, a non verbal, however highly communicative language, the intermingling feelings and passions which move the “women, knights, arms and love”.
It recalls the hyperbolic stories superbly sung by Ariosto in his most famous poem and the characters, their conflicts, the universal humanity, the uncertainty of reason, the madness and the contradictions within oneself and in society.
The modernity of this poem struck the sensitivity and interest of the artist and choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti, who wrote: “the feelings which, in the end, correspond to passions, and the passions which exercise their power on reason, are a spur to continue the research to discover the possibilities of the body, to explore feelings and to express them. A research to reveal the characteristics that make us so tremendously similar, different images of human nature which, in the end, renders our infinite diversities a great unity”.
