Suspended Performances

We inform the kind audience that the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza /Aterballetto announces, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of March 4, 2020, on “Measures to combat and contain the spread of the virus COVID-19 throughout the country”, as evidently of absolute inapplicability the possibility to allow the places of theatre performances to respect the interpersonal distance of at least 1 meter, the SUSPENSION until April 3, 2020 of all activities provided in its spaces, from performances to open rehearsals to educational activities.

Many Italian theatres have announced the same procedure, so the performances of the Aterballetto company scheduled in their seasons have been cancelled.

 

  • Empty  – Prima di domani by XL Dance Studio – The performance of 29 February 2020 has been cancelled. The performance will be rescheduled on Saturday, May 9, 2020;
  • Patchwork, un mosaico di storie – children’s play – The performances of 7 and 8 March 2020 have been cancelled. The performances will be rescheduled next season 2020/2021;
  • Made in Italy 24.0 – open rehearsal by Agora Coaching Project – The performance of 10 March 2020 has been cancelled;
  • Made in Italy 24.0 by Agora Coaching Project – The performance of 11 March 2020 has been cancelled. The performance will be rescheduled on a date to be determined;
  • Les Miserables – open rehearsal by Carlo Massari – The performance of 20 March 2020 has been cancelled;
  • Tempesta – open rehearsal by Aterballetto – The performance of 25 March 2020 has been cancelled;
  • Under the flesh by Bassam Abou Diab – The performance of 1 April 2020 has been cancelled. The performance will be rescheduled on a date to be determined;
  • Open rehearsal by Aterballetto – The performance of 3 April 2020 has been cancelled;
  • Tempesta by Aterballetto – The performance of 6 May 2020 has been cancelled. Tempesta will be played in Fonderia only on Tuesday 5 May 2020.

  • Lost in / “O” / Wolf – Cinema Teatro Boiardo, Scandiano (RE). The performance has been rescheduled from 12 March to 21 April 2020;
  • Dreamers – Teatro Bonci, Cesena. The performance will be rescheduled from 20 March to a date to be determined;
  • Tempesta – Teatro Metastasio, Prato. The performance from 26 to 29 March will be rescheduled to a date to be determined;
  • Tempesta – Teatro Ristori, Verona. The performance will be rescheduled from 2 April to a date to be determined;
  • La stella nascosta – Teatro Sociale, Como. The performance will be rescheduled from 2 April to a date to be determined.

In November, we open the doors of the Fonderia in Reggio Emilia for two contemporary dance events suitable for audiences of all ages.

DANCE FOR AN IDEAL CITY: THE DOCUFILM THAT TELLS THE MICRODANZE

"Dance for An Ideal City" is the docufilm that, starting from the "MicroDances" project, explores the possibility of depicting the contemporary city through dance. Conceived by Gigi Cristoforetti and directed by filmmaker Daniele Costa and art critic Nicolas Ballario, it is screened for the first time on October 29th in Modena, as part of the Cinedanza festival.
