SPRING OF BODIES, PLACES AND DANCE

AWARENESS OF THE PRESENT TIME, ETHICAL TENSION AND AESTHETIC RESEARCH: A SPRINGTIME FOR DECLINING NEW ARTISTIC AND SOCIAL HORIZONS. BETWEEN THE STAGE AND URBAN SPACES, BETWEEN VIRTUOSITY AND FRAGILITY, BETWEEN RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION.

Telling a work direction and objectives.

We did this in a press conference on 23 March 2022, at the beginning of what we want to be a spring. In this Spring we look at the world, at this moment. And precisely because of this, it will be a spring full of projects that we have built in Europe, a spring full of places that we want to inhabit, starting with a continuous and conscious interaction with social issues. In short, we are doing our small role: building links, putting different bodies at the centre of social spaces, and representing beauty. Perhaps it is now that we must not forget spring.

We hope to become a National Choreographic Centre, and we are convinced that a choreographic centre is not a bigger company, but an atelier, a research centre, in which we can continuously broaden our view. We try to do that.

We have officially presented the new production signed by Marcos Morau, paying tribute to the genius of Maestro Ennio Morricone. On stage on August 1st at the Macerata Opera Festival and from October 24th to November 10th at the Teatro Argentina in Rome."

In November, we open the doors of the Fonderia in Reggio Emilia for two contemporary dance events suitable for audiences of all ages.

DANCE FOR AN IDEAL CITY: THE DOCUFILM THAT TELLS THE MICRODANZE

"Dance for An Ideal City" is the docufilm that, starting from the "MicroDances" project, explores the possibility of depicting the contemporary city through dance. Conceived by Gigi Cristoforetti and directed by filmmaker Daniele Costa and art critic Nicolas Ballario, it is screened for the first time on October 29th in Modena, as part of the Cinedanza festival.
