Martina was born in Turin in 1984. From 2000 to 2002, she trained at the English National Ballet School thanks to a scholarship.

In 2003, she joined the Scottish Ballet as Artist, she was promoted coryphee in 2006 and soloist in 2009. She performed principal roles with the company including Sugar Plum (The Nutcraker), Cinderella (Cinderella), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Alice (Alice) by A. Page, Terpsichore (Apollo) by G. Balanchine, and Artifact Suite by W.Forsythe. In 2009, she performed the principal role in Carmen, a production created especially for the Scottish Ballet by the British choreographer Richard Alston. For this role she received the nomination for Outstanding Female Performance (Classical) by the Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards.

She joined Aterballetto in September 2011.
