It might seem to be the work of a vegetarian or an animal activist; I am not, but I have great respect for those who practice and carry out these virtuous “behaviours”.
It would be almost reductive if it only followed this line, in reality the installation project focuses on the figure of the hero in a broader way; heroes and heroic behaviour are often casual but no less important for that.
The figure of the hero is often used for advertising or political gain, my installation highlights images that we all notice almost daily and relates it directly to an unwanted, unacclaimed and little celebrated heroism, which is perhaps why it is more authentic.
